This is GSX1000S Katana (Part-22) shipped from Mr. A Diaz in Las Vegas!
ここに来て湯浅が行っているのは、最後に追加になった作業・・・
What Yuasa is doing here is the last additional work.
Mr.Diazから「OHLINS製ステアリングダンパーを付けてくれ」と依頼が来た為です。
This is because Mr. Diaz sent us an e-mail saying, “Please install the OHLINS steering damper”.
ステアリングダンパーブラケットのダミー試作図面が書けた所で、次はいよいよ
外装パーツの取り付けに・・・
Now that the prototype drawing of the steering damper bracket has been completed, the next step is to assemble the exterior parts…
アルミ地金ヘアーライン仕上げとカーボンのハイブリッドカラーで塗られたタンク。
Tank with aluminum base metal hairline finish and carbon hybrid color.
シングルシートカウルも組み付けましょう♪
Let’s assemble the single seat cowl too ♪
ヘアーラインを担当した菊地が気になったみたいで見に来ました・・・
Kikuchi, who was in charge the hairline, seemed to be worried about us and came to see us…
菊地だけでなく、工場のメカニック達も興味津々で集まって来ちゃいました！ (^^;)
カラーリングも含めて、皆このＲＣＭｰ５００には注目しているんです。
Not only Kikuchi but also the mechanics of the factory came together with all their interests! (^^;)
All of us are paying attention to this RCM 500, including the coloring.
そして、ステアリングダンパーブラケットのダミー試作品が出来上がって来ました。
これはもちろん あくまで試作で寸法に問題ない事が確認できたら本図面に移ります。
And the prototype of the steering damper bracket has been completed.
Of course, this is just a prototype, and when it is confirmed that there are no problems with the dimensions, we will move on to the main drawing.
再びキャド画面との睨めっこに （苦笑）
Again, we were staring at the cad screen (bitter smile)
ジュラルミン材から総削り出しで製作するダンパーブラケットは かなり凝ったものに。
The damper bracket, which is made by sharpening a piece of duralumin material, was quite elaborate work.
ステアリングダンパーブラケットの図面作成も終わり、いよいよＲＣＭとしての
大切な作業へ・・・
The drawing of the steering damper bracket has been completed, and the next is the important work at RCM…
これよりシリアルナンバーを取り付けします。
We will then attach the serial number to it.
ＲＣＭ-５００・・・
キリ番シリアルナンバーは、その当時 特別仕様で製作された車両である事を意味する。
The nice round serial number like RCM-500 means that the vehicle was manufactured with special specifications at the time.
